Privacy Policy

Medicall provides appointment software and AI voice agents to doctors and clinics. This policy explains what information Medicall handles, why, and the choices you have.

Who decides how patient information is used

When a clinic uses Medicall, the clinic decides what patient information is collected and why. Medicall processes that information on the clinic's behalf and only to run the service for that clinic. Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, the clinic is the Data Fiduciary and Medicall is its Data Processor.

If you are a patient, please contact your clinic first about your information. We will help the clinic respond.

What we handle

Patients

• Name and mobile number.
• Appointment details: date, time, reason for the visit, check-in, and past visits at the same clinic.
• Calls with the clinic's voice agents: the call, its transcript and a short summary, and the answer given to a reminder call.
• WhatsApp messages the clinic sends about an appointment.

Clinic staff

• Work email address and sign-in details.
• Actions taken in the console, such as who checked a patient in.

Visitors to this website

This website uses Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are used. It sets cookies and sends Google details such as the pages you view, your browser and device, and an approximate location; it does not receive what you type into the demo form. You can block it with your browser's privacy settings or Google's opt-out add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. We don't use advertising trackers. If you book a demo, we keep the name, clinic, mobile number, city and clinic size you enter, and send them to our team on WhatsApp. We use them only to contact you about Medicall.

How we use it

• To book, change, cancel and confirm appointments for the clinic.
• To place and answer calls and send WhatsApp messages on the clinic's behalf.
• To show clinic staff their schedule, call logs and reports.
• To keep the service secure and to fix problems.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.

Service providers

We use a small number of providers to run Medicall. Each receives only what it needs for its part of the service:

• Sarvam AI, for the voice agents, call transcripts and summaries.
• WhatsApp, for appointment messages.
• Google Calendar, where the clinic syncs its appointments.
• Amazon Web Services and our database provider, for hosting, storage and staff sign-in.
• Google Analytics, for website visit statistics.

How long we keep it

We keep a clinic's information for as long as the clinic uses Medicall, or until the clinic asks us to delete it. Backups are kept for a limited time and then removed.

Security

Information is sent over encrypted connections. Only staff the clinic invites can sign in, each with their own verified email address, and access is limited to that clinic's information.

Your choices

Patients can ask their clinic to see, correct or delete their information, or to stop reminder calls. Clinics can ask us for the same at any time.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page.
